I have been a plumber/ heating engineer in the Uk for over 30 years. I have been told that to do the same work in Spain I need a ” Certificate de Industria” how do I do this and what is it please

It is basically a register of qualified tradesmen. It just says you are a qualified tradesman in the eyes of the government, electricians, plumbers etc all need one. The correct word i beleive is"Certificado de Industria" This may help in your search.
The best thing to do is either ask on some spanish expat forums, email one of the may British plumbing companies in Spain or call the Spanish local government where you are thinking of living.
I have never heard of the certificate that you mention, but I am aware that many trades require you to pass a certificate of competency before you can trade in Spain.
