In the UK, how much would you expect to pay a plumber, to install a shower?

by admin on August 17, 2011

Obviously minus the cost of the shower ;)
I’d want an electric shower over the bath. At the moment it’s just a bath. As for wanting it connected to the hot water supply, I have no idea…

plumbing and electrics i would expect to pay around £600-£800 especially as the electrical regulations changed last year.
try getting a few quotes from a tradesmans site like http://www.alltradesuk.com

Are there any plumbers left in the UK. If you find one, tell the world!!!

Seriously, a bit more information is needed.

Electric or plumbed to hot water supply?
Existing or new shower cubile or over the bath?

etc., etc.

it depends on the ease of installation.

is a new cable to be run from the meter to the shower does it need a mains pipe nearby or is it quite far

also there is now the added cost of electrical certification you got to consider so about £500/600

About a £1000. But get a price before hand in writing.
