Contact local property managers — also contact managers of private neighborhoods. Also sell Bidets – the simple kind that attach to the bottom of the toilet tank. Women LOVE these things. Around here anyway, Sacramento California, U.S.A. ~~~~~ One problem is that property managers usually only hire wonks who work for very little money ~~~~ You might also learn how to clean refrigerator coils or clothes dryer lint hoses. Or find groups of people who work nights and sleep in the daytime. This would be around large prison or hospital. Find their union or association newsletter and run an ad that you can fix noisy pipes or plumbing!
Hey Karl ,
Broaden your scope of activities. Getting a good reputation for reliable and affordable plumbing repair work could help you out. Also, there are many property investers that hunger for fix-it people. some of the jobs will be very small but they are jobs and can help establish good relationships.
Realtors are a good source of work. They often know of properties needing repairs and some are asked for advice on who to contact for upgrades and such.
When I was doing repairs on houses I liked having a full service plumbing company I could recommend for jobs that were too big for me to do or did stuff I didn’t do.
Property management companies often have some of their own people but can be a source of work. Check these folks out at small claims court to see if they have a history you might not want to be part of, some are bad payers. Ihave found in the trades that the worse people (generally speaking) to work for are lawyers and insurance salesmen. I always check their small claims records to see if they are sleezes.
